What is Apache Web server?

Often referred to as simply Apache, a public-domain open source Web server developed by a loosely-knit group of programmers.

The original version of Apache was written for UNIX, but there are now versions that run under OS/2, Windows and other platforms.

The name is a tribute to the Native American Apache Indian tribe, a tribe well known for its endurance and skill in warfare. A common misunderstanding is that it was called Apache because it was developed from existing NCSA code plus various patches, hence the name a patchy server, or Apache server.

Why would I need a Dedicated IP?

The only extra cost for Hosting a secure site with us will be for the SSL Certificate. The SSL Certificate is mapped to your Domain Name and is read by Internet browsers, showing the little yellow padlock to your visitors.

Are there extra costs in Hosting a secure site ?

Yes. In this instance you would register a domian name or transfer in a domain for use with our email hosting service.

  1. Point an existing Domain at your new Hosting account.
  2. Transfer a Domain into Apache Internet from another company.

Is there any type of website that you will not Host?

Yes. We refuse to host any adult websites, any websites that promote hatred or prejudice, and all websites that contain illegal content or downloads. 
All Hosting accounts are monitored closely in the interest of all our clients.

We do not offer Free Hosting trials, but we do offer a no fuss 30-day money back guarantee on all of our Hosting packages. This does not extend to Domain Name fees or SSL Certificate purchases.

How long will it take for my Web Hosting account to be setup?

All Web Hosting accounts are activated within 12 hours of sign-up, seven days a week. For security reasons and for the benefit of our existing clients, we manually check all Hosting sign-ups.

Hosting accounts and Domain registrations can also be set up instantly over the telephone.
